WELCOME TO
THE HISTORIC CHILCOTIN LODGE

Coming up the "big hill" after two nights on the Discovery Ferry, we thought to tent in a nearby Provincial camp site. A bear warning made us search for a calmer spot. We discovered this jewel and decided to holiday for two days, doing exactly nothing but soak up "The Big Sky", enjoy the sun and quiet.
DAVID, NORTH VANCOUVER BC

After enjoying a scenic 30-minute drive from the city of Williams Lake along Highway 20 in the interior of British Columbia, you will find our uniquely-restored lodge, with its incomparable homey atmosphere.

The lodge is located at Riske Creek on the Chilcotin plateau, not far from the confluence of the Fraser and Chilcotin rivers, the Junction Sheep Range Park, which contains a large herd of California Bighorn Sheep and magnificent Farwell Canyon: this is still very much the “Wild West” of Canada: it's a land where cowboys still reign, branding calves in the spring, ranging cattle and rounding 'em up.

After a day exploring the rugged Chilcotin country, enjoy a gourmet meal in our dining room. Just sit on the porch, have a look at the Big Sky Country, then later relax and read a book about the history of the Chilcotin and its people, in front of our stone fireplace.
